FOSSASIA Summit 2026 took place from March 8 to 10, bringing together a vibrant community of developers, contributors, and open-source enthusiasts from across Asia. This also marked the first time RISC-V International participated in the event in Thailand.
As an active partner of RISC-V International, DeepComputing volunteered to help manage the RISC-V International booth.
Throughout the event, we had many great conversations with local developers who are actively exploring open technologies and building new projects in the region. It was exciting to see the growing interest in open hardware and the RISC-V ecosystem among the Asian developer community.

One of the highlights of the event was the strong curiosity around the RISC-V ecosystem. Many developers stopped by to learn more about the latest progress.
In particular, the new DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard III with RVA23 support attracted significant attention. Developers were impressed by the performance improvements compared with previous generations, highlighting how quickly RISC-V laptop platforms are evolving.
The new DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard II is now in the early access program and can be reserved for $99.99.

During the conference, Joey Zeng from DeepComputing delivered a talk on the progress of the RISC-V web platform, sharing updates on Chromium and Node.js development on RISC-V.
The session explored how modern web technologies are gradually becoming available on RISC-V platforms and what steps are needed to further strengthen the open web ecosystem on RISC-V hardware. Special thanks to Bruno Verachten, Senior Developer Relations Engineer, for the collaboration and support in preparing the session.
FOSSASIA Summit continues to be an important gathering for the open-source community in Asia. We look forward to continuing to work with developers, partners, and contributors across the region to further advance the RISC-V ecosystem.
