The first-ever World RISC-V Days united the global RISC-V community through synchronized half-day events hosted around the world, 4-8 August, 2025. Each local event will feature engaging talks, hands-on demos, and networking opportunities — all aimed at showcasing the growth and innovation of the RISC-V ecosystem.
This year’s World RISC-V Day saw DeepComputing team members traveling across Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, Beijing, and Taipei, supporting local hosts and engaging with the community to advance the RISC-V ecosystem. From technical demos to thought-provoking talks, our team connected with developers, researchers, and enthusiasts — all driven by the shared vision of building the future with RISC-V.
World RISC-V Days Hong Kong — Hosted by ExpressVPN In Hong Kong, the event was hosted by ExpressVPN, attracting industry experts, scholars, and RISC-V enthusiasts. Ben from ExpressVPN shared exciting news about VPN protocols now supporting RISC-V, marking a notable step for secure, open-source networking. Joey from DeepComputing delivered a talk about DeepComputing’s RISC-V Journey and Innovations, highlighting the milestones in building high-performance RISC-V hardware and fostering global adoption.
The Taiwan event, hosted by Ruinland from Andes Technology, brought together local professionals and hobbyists in the RISC-V ecosystem. Attendees shared their experiences, discussed real-world applications, and exchanged ideas on accelerating adoption in the region. The atmosphere was warm, collaborative, and full of mutual learning.
In Japan, the event was led by Shumpei Kawasaki, who also hosts the annual RISC-V Day Japan. The gathering attracted passionate members of the Japanese RISC-V community. Yuning from DeepComputing expressed his excitement at connecting with the JP RISC-V community, discussing emerging opportunities, and learning from local innovators.
Hosted by Hanoi University, the Vietnam event was a vibrant celebration of RISC-V’s growing influence among students and young developers. DeepComputing’s Founder & CEO Yuning Liang delivered an engaging presentation, warmly received by the audience, and was inspired by the students’ enthusiasm for open-source hardware. The event concluded with a shared commitment to further strengthen and grow the Vietnam RISC-V community in the coming years.
In Beijing, the Beijing Open Source Chip Research Institute (BOSC) hosted a grand RISC-V gathering that attracted a wide spectrum of attendees — from industry professionals and students to leading enterprises. The event was a true celebration of open computing, showcasing cutting-edge innovations and fostering meaningful connections across the ecosystem. DeepComputing was invited to present a live demo of its latest DC-ROMA RISC-V AI PC, which received enthusiastic interest and positive feedback from participants.
DeepComputing will continue to work closely with RISC-V International and local communities worldwide, supporting events, sharing expertise, and delivering innovative products.
