At RISC-V Taipei Day, which was hosted for the first time at COMPUTEX, DeepComputing Founder & CEO Yuning Liang delivered an insightful talk that captured the energy and vision of the event. With attendees ranging from chip designers and system architects to hardware startups and enterprise users, the event underscored one message: RISC-V is not just the future—it’s happening now.
For DeepComputing, this event was more than a showcase. It was a chance to connect, listen, and exchange ideas with the RISC-V community. Because shaping the future of open computing is a collective effort—fueled by collaboration, trust, and shared ambition.



In a special interview, Yuning with Lu Dai, Senior Director of Engineering at Qualcomm and Chair of the RISC-V International Board of Directors. When asked about RISC-V’s edge in AI and security, Lu noted that RISC-V’s open architecture enables fine-grained control over hardware design, which is crucial for secure applications. Its modularity allows for custom instructions tailored to AI workloads, giving it tremendous potential in edge intelligence and trusted computing. Yuning shared DeepComputing’s latest efforts: “We’ve launched a full stack of RISC-V-based products—including the DC-ROMA RISC-V AI PC, DC-ROMA Mainboard II. All are developer-friendly, fully open hardware running Linux distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora. These aren’t concepts—they’re shipping hardware built to empower real AI workloads and accelerate industry adoption.”
In his COMPUTEX Pavilion presentation, Yuning Liang highlighted how DeepComputing is making the RISC-V vision tangible by delivering real-world products: from AI PCs and laptops to developer mainboards. His talk emphasized our continued commitment to openness, sustainability, and a future shaped by local AI computing built on open standards.
