As RISC-V hardware continues to advance (now reaching up to 60 TOPS AI compute in our latest platforms), the bigger challenge is software enablement. Modern AI increasingly runs in web applications, making browser-level acceleration critical for real-world adoption.
The session highlighted how WebNN and WebLLM provide a standards-based path for enabling AI inside Chromium and other browsers — leveraging RISC-V’s vector extensions (RVV) and emerging AI engines.
