DeepComputing participated in Maker Faire Rome 2025 (October 17–19), marking its first appearance in Italy to present its RISC-V + AI innovations to European audiences. This event brought together makers and engineers from across Europe, making it the perfect stage for DeepComputing’s RISC-V story to continue expanding globally.

At Booth B15, DeepComputing invited visitors to experience the power and potential of open hardware through hands-on demonstrations with the DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard and the latest DC-ROMA RISC-V AI PC, which delivers up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. Both products are fully compatible with the Framework Laptop 13 and Cooler Master case, reflecting DeepComputing’s commitment to modularity, sustainability, and open computing.
Attendees had the opportunity to disassemble and reassemble a Framework Laptop, exploring how the modular design enables full customization — down to individual ports — through expansion cards. They also witnessed the impressive progress of Linux for RV64, with a side-by-side comparison of the two mainboards developed by DeepComputing just one year apart, illustrating the rapid evolution of RISC-V software and hardware ecosystems.



At Booth R22, SemiTO-V, a RISC-V–focused student team from the Polytechnic University of Turin sponsored by DeepComputing, presented their RP2350 GPIO expansion card designed for the Framework Laptop 13 with the DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard inside. Their project demonstrated how students are leveraging open-source hardware to bring new ideas to life on RISC-V.
Throughout the event, SemiTO-V members engaged visitors by explaining the RISC-V ISA, its ecosystem, and the vision behind open hardware. They also volunteered to support DeepComputing’s booth, guiding visitors eager to learn more about the world’s first RISC-V PC company and its efforts to make RISC-V accessible to all.
Together, these initiatives highlight DeepComputing’s ongoing mission to bridge industry and academia, empowering the global community to innovate freely with open computing technologies.




By joining Maker Faire Rome 2025, DeepComputing brought the RISC-V spirit to a new country — connecting with students, makers, and engineers who share a deep passion for open hardware and open collaboration. Meanwhile, SemiTO-V — a RISC-V–focused student team from the Polytechnic University of Turin, founded by Tan Siret AKINCI and sponsored by DeepComputing — marked the first step of the “100 Schools & Universities” program in Italy — leading the way in spreading RISC-V knowledge and community building across Europe.
