Last week, DeepComputing had the pleasure of participating in OpenSouthCode 2025 in the beautiful city of Málaga, Spain. It was an incredible experience to engage with the vibrant Spanish open-source community and witness firsthand the openness and enthusiasm that drives the region’s tech innovation.
During the event, our Founder & CEO Yuning Liang gave a talk titled “DeepComputing’s Journey in Making RISC-V a Reality for Open Source Developers Worldwide.” His session sparked great interest in how DeepComputing is pushing the boundaries of open hardware with RISC-V and AI, and encouraged the audience to join us in building a more open, collaborative tech ecosystem.
Most excitingly, many attendees expressed strong purchase interest and signed up to our social media and store for updates, with many asking about our high-spec AI PC model. One of the most heartwarming highlights was the OpenSouthKid program. It was truly inspiring to see young minds being introduced to the world of open source. Our booth and demo units attracted not only developers and enthusiasts but also a crowd of curious and excited kids — a true testament to the power of open, inclusive technology. We had meaningful conversations with parents and teachers about how our RISC-V products could support STEM education, maker classrooms, and early programming initiatives. These interactions reinforced our commitment to supporting education through open hardware.
