DeepComputing at COSCUP 2025 – Driving Open Hardware & RISC-V Innovation

The annual COSCUP (Conference for Open Source Coders, Users and Promoters) once again brought together open source enthusiasts, developers, and community builders in Taipei. Among the many highlights of this year’s event was the Open Source Hardware Track, co-organized by Yuning Liang, founder of DeepComputing and long-time advocate for RISC-V and open-source ecosystems, and Ruinland, a well-known activist in Taiwan’s open source and RISC-V communities.

The track featured a series of talks and discussions exploring the latest developments in open hardware—from RISC-V and modular computing to community-driven hardware projects. Speakers shared insights on how open source principles are reshaping hardware innovation, encouraging greater collaboration between developers, manufacturers, and end-users.

The session emphasized:
